What tax code do you have? Both tax and NI are higher than normal if on a 810L tax code so we need more details.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
My tax code is 810L. I started the job in August last year and it was my first and only job during the 2012/2013 tax year.First time saver

Well on those figures you should only have paid tax of £2290.57 so you are due a refund of £222.31.
NI cannot be reclaimed.BumbleBee86 wrote: »What's on my pay slip is:

Thanks.
Surprising. From those figures you are more than likely on a Mth1 tax code as opposed to a cumulative tax code. This can be shown with a 1 or a Mth1 somewhere after the tax code itself.0 -
810L is the standard tax code which most people have this year. It will be 944L next year.0
