I always wash and chop it first and freeze in an ice cube tray when frozen pop into a bag and just take out what I need when I need it

If you seal it into a small bag and freeze it, you can then (while it's still frozen) crumble it. Saves on chopping it finely.

    Hi newMS,

Parsley freezes well. Wash and chop it as normal put into a freezer bag and freeze with the bag flat and the parsley well spread out. This stops it all sticking together in a clump and makes it easier to lift out a little at a time. Once frozen you can put the bag in whatever way you want to.

If you prefer you can chop the parsley add to an icecube tray and top up with water. That way you can lift out however many icecubes you will need at a time.

To make the garlic butter I soften ordinary butter in the microwave.....just a few seconds or it will start to melt. Add in some crushed garlic cloves (one clove for two to three ounces of butter) and about a tablespoon of chopped parsley and mix well with a fork. If you're in a hurry garlic granules work well too.

Then just slice the bread, spread on the garlic butter and pop it into the oven...I don't bother with tin foil.

Edits, sorry mrs_mix, I just saw your reply.
