Ok so my future sister-in-law has just picked up her wedding dress from the seamstress. Along with a few other issues her dress stinks of smoke.
How can we get rid of the smell as the wedding is on Saturday!!!

Omgoodness!!!!!!
I'd call the seamstress and ask what sshe recommends, I'm guessing you can't be the first and she might have a quick fix she recommends.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
We don't trust ourselves to call her as there are several other issues and the bride has had to rush out to buy a new veil as the one the seamstress made was rubbish

All a bit stressful at the moment!Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -
Argh that's awful! The only thing I can think of is hanging the dress outside somewhere if you possibly can? Presuming it isn't going to rain of course!0

Not sure this will help but....a musty/smokey book can be revived by placing it in a plastic bag with clean cat litter for a while. That will absorb the smell.
Otherwise - industrial amounts of febreze? Is there a febreze clothes version?Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -
Think the fe breeze sounds the best idea. It's a Sophie Tolli dress so not cheap far from it so don't want to risk ruining it!Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0

Be careful with Febreeze especially if it's silk, putting drops of liquid on it might stain. I'd try putting it in a dress cover with the cat litter at the bottom, not touching it, that night absorb some of the smell.0

let your bathroom fill up with steam, add some essential oils to the steam (oil burner perhaps) hang the dress in the steam.0
