PC World Collect @ Store

In the past PC World had a system where you can reserve items to pick up and pay in store. But now it seems that it is gone. I have to pay for the item upfront and then have it sent to the store.
Also, now I have to register for an account to shop at PC World.

According to their website, they have 2 options, "Reserve and Collect" and "Pay and Collect".
From the description, the former would seem to only be an option if your local store actually has stock. The latter option being more what you have described above.
Looking at some of their laptops, they're listed as available to collect in an hour, which would certainly match the "reserve and collect" option. So maybe what you wanted to order isn't available instore either generally or locally to you ?

I am looking at Norton Internet Security and DV mini Cassettes. I have see the Norton software in store. Also, can you link to the laptop that have "reserve and collect"? All the laptops I've seen are "Order and collect.""Character is a journey, not a destination"--Bill Clinton

They all say Order and Collect but when you go onto the page it should say Order and Collect within 1hr. I just went on Norton and it would let me reserve it at my local store without paying for it online.0

Ah. Quite confusing! I was under the impression that ALL have to be bought and paid for online"Character is a journey, not a destination"--Bill Clinton

Sometimes it's worth asking in store as often they are waiting for a standard delivery rather than them just not stocking it.
I once tried to reserve two items online for my local store, one could be picked up that day but the other said I would have to order online for them to send to the store like you said. I reserved the one item and left the other but asked about it when I went to pick up my collection and they said they were getting a delivery the next day and they would put one aside for me, which they did and I collected the next day just like a reservation.0 -
But those stuff are not eligible for Nectar points / Boots Treat Street, which require you to reserve from online."Character is a journey, not a destination"--Bill Clinton

Just a word about Norton Internet Security, I would try and find a copy of the older versions ie 2011/2012 as they should be cheaper and all you simply do is install them and choose the free upgrade to the latest version. Well thats what I have been doing for the past 3 years anyway.
All you are paying for is the latest packaging anyway.Old Faithful we roam the range together,

With reserve & collect (rather than Order & deliver to store), I wonder if the DSR still applies given you will actually pay in store instead of "distance"?0
