Just had an email from Amazon to say that two weeks ago they refunded me £3 by mistake they are now re-charging my account, is this allowed?

i get them to phone you its there mistake not yours, like monopoly banking error in your favour.
can't hurt to try but is worrying that they can recharge you without re-authorization you could have spent said money whether £3 or £300 i would ask the question.
orange tab on right hand side contacts us under general support also let us know how you get on.

If they have given you £3 by mistake then I would think that they have every right to take it back as it isnt your money.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I had this too, its for Game of Thrones. I checked my bank statements to make sure they did pay two lots of £3 which they did, so I'm not too bothered about it. They did offer to change the date of taking the money in the email if it was inconvenient too.0

A few years ago they re-charged me about £36 almost 5 months after they had mistakenly refunded me as well as replacing a damaged item. They emailed me the day before they took the money, not exactly suitable enough warning, especially as it was an account I hardly ever used anymore, so I didn't actually have enough money in the account to cover it and I got charged by the bank. My own fault for not noticing the refund all those months earlier - an exceptionally busy time, otherwise I would have noticed - but still annoying all the same, as it wasn't the re-charge that was the problem, it was the lack of notice so that I could ensure I had the funds. Like an earlier poster said, what if it had been hundreds - if badly timed on my main account it could have stopped some important direct debits from going through.
Anyway rant over, happy to say I've had no further problems with them, so hopefully it's a very rare occurrence0
