Livingsocial Rip-off

I recently bought a voucher off these rip-off merchants, only to be told by the company that the voucher was for that they wouldn't honour any more of them and that I had to take the matter up with Livingsocial. I promptly did that, several times, and was simply ignored, no reply, nothing. Then the day after the voucher expired, they email me telling me it's expired and that there is nothing they can do about it now. No refund, no sorry, nothing.
Has anyone had anything similar, and what would be a reasonable recourse. The sum involved is minor but it's the principle of the matter - surely if you are selling a service, someone is responsible for making sure it is delivered, or the client refunded.
