I've got a mixture of Meyer (very nice), Brabantia (nowhere near as good as the price tag would suggest) and John Lewis own brand (excellent value).

Frankly, I've given up on buying expensive frying pans for my hob. It's so easy to accidentally ruin the teflon coating I just buy the cheap ones from Wilko now. £12 each instead of upwards of £50 at JL.

I've had an induction hob for 2 years now and really love it. I bought a set of pans from debenhams and they are good. You may be able to use some of your old ones if they stick to a magnet. Some of mine did and some not. The hob heats up and cools down really quickly and is so easy to clean.

I have recently bought these pans from Lakelands.

I bought 3 and got a free milk pan (awaiting a delivery of new stock)

They are great. a good heavy weight and feel really well made. Nice sold base to them. They do take a while to get boiling over our old cheap ones because of the thicker metal but once they are boiling they will boil away on a lower setting.

Lucky you for getting an induction hob. I really want to have a go on one :)

I recently got mine from Tesco, very pleased with them so far.
