Kitchen magazine - get paid?

Hi all

We've just had our kitchen redone and our designer suggested getting it into a magazine. Do you get paid for this sort of thing or just the kudos?!?

I think your designer may have suggested that to get some free advertising for their business. Do they expect you to write the article, if so, have you got some before and after photo's? To be honest I think you would have difficulty selling it. Ask your designer to write it, then charge them for the photographs.

Hi thanks for replies both.

He just suggested I contact them... no mention of who would write it. I guess I thought it might be like one of those before and after makeovers - I didn't realise that you had to write the copy - I was thinking that I sent some pics and if they were interested they'd get back to me to take professional pics and for Q and A.

Sounds like it might be more hassle than it's worth
