Hello all, wondered if someone can tell me if there is such a thing as a tax deduction for people who are employed but work from home. Thanks!

I think there's a flat rate claimable of £3/week
I claimed it on my SA last year but can't remember the detail
EDIT: here, it's gone up

Are you sure? This would mean that you have made a claim of £2115 if you are a basic rate taxpayer equivalent to 528 weeks. If higher rate each of these is halved.
Is it not possible that you are due tax relief on £423 of claim which will result in a refund of £86 (or £172 if higher rate)?0 -
Doe your contract of employment give your home address as your main place of employment? You must be required by the employer to work at home otherwise you may not claim any allowance.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?
