If your planning on going to sainsburys monday/tuesday .... WAIT!!!

Remember the coolbag offer they had last year?

It was "buy 5 stickered items and get a free coolbag" on items like quiches, coleslaws, dips, sausage rolls, porkpies etc etc (fresh picnic type food) .... well its coming back from WEDNESDAY 16th MAY nationwide!!!

This time, not only can you get a coolbag, but also either a games set or a picnic blanket aswell

This promotion will run between 6 to 8 weeks depending on how the stock promotional stock lasts

Oh no! I hate this offer! Loads of people come to the till, put their shopping through then ask for their freebie when they could have picked it up from the boxes dotted all round where the stickered items are. We then have to call a supervisor to go and get it and it holds up the queues and we end up with ticked off customers moaning. No objection to everyone grabbing their free stuff but please put it in your trolley before you pay! If there was space we'd have a supply on the tills but there's no room. At least I won't have sore fingers anymore counting out all the kids vouchers!

Laura1976, I know how you feel. We have a similar offer at M&S (not started this year though) where you buy 5/6 deli items and get a free coolbag/picnic rug/childrens bat and ball set/fold away chair and there is just not the space at the tillpoints to have all these items so they are placed around the store and also mainly at the areas where the deli food is sold.

Fair enough if you're buying the items anyway, but no doubt hordes of people will be buying 2 or 3 'extras' to get a free picnic rug that 'might come in useful one day!' :rolleyes:

My mother, sadly enough, is one of these muppets.

i did this last year and got the free kids ball set

brought all the items, when they had been reduced to clear, because the offer still works :j

or if you look hard enough buying the lower priced/3 for 2/ or even bogof items, you can get these picnic items even cheaper!!!

im more interested in the blanket this year ... got enough coolbags last year!!

A lot of people that got rugs last year have used them as sleeping blankets for pets. My rug is for me laying out in the garden reading a book or just listening to music when the weather is nice.
I want to get a couple more rugs this year so when I invite friends over we can have a rug each. Our garden is pretty big so we can space out rather than haing to share a rug as usual.
