I can't help feeling that there's not a lot of competition for the title of "leading jazz statistician" !

It's a more popular profession than you'd imagine. There are literally 4 of them spread across Benelux and northern France.

    M. Pilchard is unusual in that he specializes in the sort of jazz heard at Sunday morning champagne brunches in city centre hotels. You know the places that cater for families that can only stand being together for the day if they're smashed by 11am.

How can anyone claim to be the "inventor of socks"?

Sorry Gen, not having that one.

Go on. Have a look on Wikipedia. You won't find anyone else down for it.

Someone had to invent socks so why not a Belgian. I hope you're not an anti-Belgian racist. Belgians have a hard enough time as it is.

Did you know gravity in Belgium is on average 95% of that averaged across the world as a whole? It plays havoc with fuel economy but they save some back on tyre wear.

Oh it must be true then.

    Seriously though?

It's like someone saying they invented haircuts.

I gave an explicit warning about Wikipedia use.

Don't make me come over there !!!

Kim Clijsters. Think I've spelt that correctly!

I'm not convinced about the inventor of socks either, but I would like to hear more about Stefania Olkiovic.
