in Cutting tax
if i get my inheritance after sale of my late fathers house which will be about 20 thousand pounds does hmrc already know about this and will they inform dwp if this is the case i would like to beat them first so it does not look like i was not going to tell them:o

there is no effects just i was refused esa a couple of weeks ago so i had to claim job seekers citizens advice bureau told me it was best to go to the council about changes so my housing benefit did not get stopped but the dwp had already told them so as i said i would like to be the one to inform the dwp of my buisiness0

It is your responsibility to advise a change of circumstances if you are receiving means tested benefits.0

HMRC do data matching every so often, but the data is sent to our fraud dept for investigation. Its best to notify all relevant departments yourself.
