I am not sure if this is the right place for this question, but i currently have a Woolwich open plan motgage & associated account. I am remortgaging and it will go through this week. Does anyone here know if the bank account element stays open as i have received different opinions and it is starting to stress me out. The woolwich says yes, but my solicitor says no. - I know who i should believe, but Woolwich don't fill me with confidence!!
Oh also got a letter today telling me that my Woolwich account will become a barclays one on July 22nd!

Hi There,
Yes, your Woolwich account will become a Barclays account. Once the switchover has been made visit a Barclays branch to ensure you are on the best deal suitable for you. Also watch your post as you will get a new card, chequebook, account number etc.
As for your openplan it will stay open, however do read the paperwork carefully as it will tell you exactly what will happen to your account and so forth.
Hope this helps.0
