I can't find thread Unsuccess mtge penalty

A friend said she found a thread where someone went to small claims court to reclaim mortgage redemption penalty and the case was lost.....AND the person had to pay a lot of costs.....
I am about to start my claim and would like to read this thread can anyone help
I am working to deadline my 6 years is up in September.

Depends on the type of morgage - fes for early exit from a fixed-rate or fixed-term quite likely to be legal, it's the ones where fees for normal end of term have shot up which are dubious and possibly illegal. Argument is that you should only pay the advertised fees, not something invented to rake in a few more quid.
