I don't know where to start.:(
Early 50s with 2 great kids and a lovely wife.
I'm so worried about my overdraft and the debts that I've stupidly run up on credit cards. I feel under so much pressure I finally had to open up to my wife this morning. I've been keeping things hidden from her as she has enough on her plate at the moment without me adding to her troubles.
At the moment I'm just about managing to keep up my minimum repayments but If I don't do something about this situation now I'm frightened things will escalate.
A few years back I was worried about my job situation, I worried myself into a state of exhaustion and suffered with panic attacks, I can feel that same horrible uneasiness overtaking me right now. I have an appointment to see a doctor today. Can anyone offer me any advice on how to reduce these outgoings before it's too late?
Thanks in anticipation.

Deep breath. You're in the right place!! Can you post a statement of affairs so we can see if we can help you reduce your outgoings? There is a sticky at the top of the page. Don't wanna read n run but someone will come along with some ideas. The main things are you have been honest with your wife and contacted your gp so they are steps in the right direction.
