I don't know about Flambards, but of the others, Legoland and Chessington are definitely family oriented and you might feel a bit wierd going without kids - also any 'bigger' rides at these places have massive queues. However, if you like 'thrills' then you will enjoy Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, which both have some impressive rides for teenagers/adults.

There is loads for adults to enjoy at the Sea Life centres as well as Madame Tussards and The Dungeons - especially when only paying half to get in - well that always enhances my enjoyment anyway.

Forgot to say - if you are going without kids, then take the chance to go in term-time school hours on a dull/rainy day. I did that once with my kids at Thorpe park when they had an inset day (a day of school) at an odd time and we virtually had the place to ourselves - there were no queues at all and we were able to stay on some of the rides as long as we liked - usually you have to get off and go to the back of the queue for a second go. The only problem was, the log ride (can't remeber name) got stuck when we were right at the top, just before the precipise and I was sat in the log with my 3 kids (aged 3,5,6) for 45 minutes! I was terrified as the little ones wouldn't sit still and there are no straps to hold you in and it is a very steep drop both sides. We were finally rescued and given a pair of complimentary family tickets + fast-tracks to come back another time.

THANKS but responding! We are going from 21st - 28th June, children should be at school then, shouldn't they? Your school holidays are different to ours, Northern Ireland.

 Sorry if I am being thick BUT my till receipt just says: "you have qualified for a free entry to a UK attraction" - is this the voucher then? (Doesn't look like a voucher, lol).

Secondly I am not clear about when you have to BUY the 2nd ticket - i.e. I understand how long the Tesco promotion is running for BUT do you have to buy your 2nd theme park ticket within the same time frame OR can you just turn up with your voucher/till receipt on the day of your choice (subject to restrictions of course)??
    Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)

You should have been issued with a seperate voucher by the cashier. The receipt just notes that the shop has qualified for the offer.

You can purchase the ticket at any time specified on the offer. It's just a standard BOGOF offer - there is no need for any advance booking etc.

    Hope that helps. :)
  • Iceland are currently giving a booklet with 5 BOGOF theme park vouchers to anyone who spends over £15

:T thanks jo_b that helps a lot. Me thinks I shall have to go to CS with my till receipt to get my voucher - naughty cashier. Mind you she was a bit flustered - I had just given her my usual wad of online vouchers (the so-called "safe" ones) and for the first time had them refused. I was NOT happy as Tesco's are the only store that take them that I know of and I didn't realise/don't believe that they have stopped doing so. At least I hope they haven't as they are such great money savers.

I've had lots of problems getting Tesco to take coupons that they have previously accepted without batting an eyelid! Looks like they are having a national review of coupon policy!
