DMP & Defaults

There was a thread on here some months ago about someone getting defaults added to their account and backdated which improved the credit score. I can't find this anywhere so I was looking for some help.

I was In a DMP and didn't receive any default. My accounts took me years to pay back before I could then close them. This means they are reported for a further 6 years after they are closed which with the length of the DMP makes this a very lengthy process.

My arrangement to pay markers therefore will show on my credit file until 2016/2017 and wont help me when I try to get a mortgage in the next few years.

If I write to the creditors and get them to add defaults on to my account and backdate them to the start of my DMP then drop of this year.

Would this improve my credit file?

many thanks
