How long until I can do my tax return?

Thought it would be a good idea to do my tax return online. So logged on a week or so ago and was told I need to get a pin to access the government gateway. Ok, I thought - applied and pin came in the post the other day.

Now I was going to do the garden today - but seeing as it's pouring with rain - that's not an option.

So, I thought I would do my tax return. Logged on with pin but now it's telling me because I have only just activated this service I have to wait for a short delay before they display my data. :mad:

Is it likely that I will be able to do the return today or is it going to take a few days?

Starting to think I should just fill out the paper version. :rolleyes:

Probably waiting for the registration process to complete.

You could always prepare all your figures and write them on the paper version, then when your registration is completed, transfer those figures onto the online version and submit it that way.
