Llodys credit card sending a representive

Options
Hi all
i am after some advice, i have just started a dmp with step change the first payments by them went out on the 19th and everybody including Lloyd's should have received their payments by today at the latest.
The problems i am still having with Lloyd's credit card even though i have spoken to them on the phone once just to quote that step-change are dealing with DMP and that have they have also received in writing confirmation to that effect.
they are still phone about every other day and now have started sending text to call them on national rate number and this morning i received what looks like a computer generated letter saying that they are sending round a rep to my home on the 25th today but they have not shown up yet if they i will tell them to sling their hook. i dont particularly want to talk to them but step change have advised to wait a couple of days so that the payment has worked through their system and talk to them again if this do not work what is my next sped a harassment letter perhaps?
debt free as of 1/10/2014 and loving it :j

It is only harassment, if you have asked them to stop calling you by the official method and they continue to do so. You can also write to them about revoking their right to visit your property too. You will find template letters in this section of the forum somewhere.

Your first port of call for complaints should be Lloyds, they should send you a letter with their complaints procedure. If that fails you then need to complain to the Ombudsman. If the harassment becomes beyond doubt a criminal act then you can get the police involved.

I posted about a similar situation a few days ago regarding Halifax (same group you will note) sending a rep despite the debt being in a dmp with StepChange

I think the Lloyds Group are trying to set new standards for incompetence.

My wife had a £900+ debt on her credit card in Nov, since then and through the incompetence of LTSB they have paid £650 in apologies! So with payments from our DMP the credit card debt is no more!
Proud to have dealt with our debts
    Starting debt 2005 £65.7K.
    Current debt ZERO.
    DEBT FREE

Thanks fatbelly, mike and pete i had read the thread but did not realize at the time that Lloyd's was a part of the same group.
Although i am with step change Lloyd's have been the most persistent with the phone calls. Now that the first payment has been paid from step change i see if that will keep them quiet although i think not!. if they do call I will repeat that step change are acting on my behalf and i have no more extra money to give them and then follow it up with the "all correspondence to be in writing "letter and "no rep is to visit" letter as well. i will record and log all phone calls ect.

Visits from "field agents" tring to "trace you to re-establish contact" seems the norm from Santander and RBS recently. Even though no contact has been lost as I write to them. Complaint and threat to report to OFT if they do it again seems to have worked.

Maybe the collections for dummies book has been republished recently or something...

    Good luck

  • Hi All
    Just a quick update

    A result.. :j
After sending a letter of complaint and a very frank telephone call to loyds speaking to a supervisor. I have in finally gotten them after 8 months to close the credit card account and return the account where it should have been with 2 months of charges added only which is when the DMP should have started. Although I am still paying the interest the account is no longer in default and the charges have been refunded.

It's nice of them to remove the default but if your other debts have defaulted then this will have no positive effect on your credit file. If by continuing to charge interest they are unreasonably extending your repayment period (and it will be) then they are acting against The Lending Code:
    225.
It is inappropriate for interest and charges to continue to be taken where the result would be that the repayment period for the customer becomes excessive. In forming a judgement on what might be excessive, a subscriber should take into account the type of product and the individual circumstances of the borrower.
