  • What I do is:
    • Shop at the cheapest place without compromising on quality (e.g. Aldi, farmer's markets, etc...)
    • Buy on sale (food expiring today is still good for consumption)
    • Cook all meals from scratch (no buying breakfast or lunch at work)
    • Only eat fruits and vegetables that are in season
    • Mix high-costs items (e.g. meat) with low-costs items (e.g. rice)
    • Buy in bulk and freeze/store (especially items on sale)
    • Buy full pieces of meat and cut it yourself (e.g. buy whole chicken and cut it, buy meat and mince it)
