Confetti Wish List - good idea/bad idea???

Hi,

has anyone used the confetti.co.uk wedding wish list service  ?

I have an up and coming wedding in Jan 2009 and the wishlist it seems the ideal solution for us as we have been living together for a number of years, so would prefer not to recieve a dozen toasters etc. for our wedding!!

Essentially the confetti service provides you with a maestro card and account for a £15 set-up fee. Then you specify a wish list on there and your guests can pay for these gifts by loading the card. We plan to use for our honeymoon, so it is ideal! However, reading through the t&cs I see a number of potenital issues:

Prepaid Card Purchase Fee (2nd cardholder is free) £15.00
ATM Cash Withdrawal Fee £1.00
Foreign Transaction Fee 2.75%
Cancellation Fee / Refund Fee £5.00

Also it states the max load with a swith/maestro card is £50, which may be an issue for guests clubbing together.

Would appreciate any advice from those with experience for the service!

Many thanks

Sheamy

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi we signed up and paid £15 but when they came we tried to load it up and not only is it very complicated (which would be hard for older guests to do!) also they have to pay a fee for it as well (sorry can't remenber how much) and the max they can load is £50! tut! we've since scrapped the idea ! but to be honest we do have a lot of oldar guest who havent even got a computer! hope it all works out whatever you do!
