I purchased my house in 9/1993 for £118,000 and my house was valued in 1991 by the Council Tax as band F £133,000.
As the price has gone down does this alter the banding?

You can request a reassessment. But this information alone will not guarantee a downgrade.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

Short answer is - no (assuming you live in England - Wales have had a subsequent revaluation). House prices have been down, up and down again since the 1991 valuations, but it's not a justification for getting the banding changed. Band F covers valuations in the range £120,000 to £160,000, so to get the band lowered you need to demonstrate that the property shoudl have been valued at less than £120,000 on 1st April 1991.0 -
1993 house prices tended to be a lot lower than 1991, so your band is probably correct. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
