    EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY!!!!!!

MY BOOTS WAS ON FIRE TODAY!!!!! (well nearly) CHESTERFIELD STORE

A fire started in somerfields in the same shopping centre, the entire town centre has been evacuated. Still burning now. Not sure how far it got but the roof in somerfields had collapsed.

And I can't even go to meadowhall boots coz thier shut for flooding!!!!

I'm just hoping for a good smoke damage sale!!!!

got the free essntial aromatherapy kit with 2 purchases voucher yesterday
Took a 69p bottle of shampoo and the free essntial aromatherapy kit to the counter Gave the asst 69p and the voucher and she put it through the till without checking the voucher I am folowing you all and trying to learn

So - am I right in saying that the voucher allows the kit to go through for free - regardless of what you have purchased - could be brave and do it without any purchase???

If so I might be brave and just take the kit and voucher to the till - and hope the sa doesn't read it!!! If they do then the response from me 'Oh, I didn't read it - I just saw the 'FREE' bit'!!

i think that you might have taken this boots addiction to far, i cant believe your first thought is for a smoke damage sale after a major fire has happened, where someone has been hurt and others are missing

Just realised how my post read.

I had assurances from the fire marshall in the town centre that all had been safely evacuated (as we were too), otherwise I would not have posted.

Having been in the town centre all afternoon I had not heard any rumours of any trapped or hurt.

I apologise for my words as they seem really insensitive.

I've been reading this thread for a few weeks but until today was a virgin bootsie. today changed that! i spent ages at the ac machine, so long in the shop the security gaurd kept circling me(til i gave a massive dirty look:mad: )
shoppers were staring at me as if i was deranged as i clutched my massive stock of ac vouchers. so my virgin haul goes like this

spent 8.90, used bodyform ultra and liners x 200 points

so really spent 6.90, got loads of natural collections bogoff bargains, lots of lipglosses and bargain nail and feet sets.

there are now 3 different bodyform 100p vouchers on ac machine, liners, ultra and maxi.

got a moody cow on the till 2day, she looked at me as if i was deranged when handing over my codes:rolleyes:

question thou, can you use the ac vouchers online by typing in the barcodes?
my boots and tesco addictions are costing me a fortune
    :j
am tackling my debt cant bury head in sand any longer:confused:

Perhaps waddy didnt realise how bad it was to be fair! Sometimes you do hear of things being on fire, and it was like the toaster or something...it was only a light hearted comment probably said without knowing the full details!

I hope they find them too :(

Edit: I'm a mind reader! Posted this before reading waddy's 2nd post ! I had faith in you fellow bootser!

I went into my local boots today, on the reduced stand they had lots of goodies!! I resisted temptation and only got a camera bag, reduced from 16.99 to 4.24.......when I got out and looked at my receipt, they gave me 150 extra points for it!!
