I got my card about 2 years ago and originally had very few offers on it but I did get a few things and I definitely had the get points when you spend £15 etc type vouchers.
It was frustrating to me at the time as there were quite a few glitches going on and I had to rely on my daughters card which was about 5 years old, giving me the vouchers I needed to take advantage of the glitches.
It has got better though and now I get more offers on my card than my daughter does!
I have 5 different Boots cards for different memebers of the family ( who will never use them, ie: the cat) and three are brand new and like you, only get offered competitions on them.
My advice to you would be to ask around family and friends or even neighbours to see if they have an old Boots cards they don't use as I personally think its got little to do with what you buy on the card and much more to do with the actual age of the card.

Revlon wasn't so much a glitch, it was a voucher offer in the Metro, buy any Revlon product and get a specific (forget which) mascara worth £8.49 free. Cheapest Revlon item was a half price lipstick at £3.99... I've tried 5 Boots now since that voucher (which expires today) and no Boots has them in stock, or even have a Revlon section! RAHHH!!! Bet the Kensington Boots will restock them tomorrow  ...nothing at all to do with them probably knowing the deal, oh and the Metro newspaper offices being *in* Kensington won't help...
No7 Microdermabrasion kit was a sale item i think? down to £7.50, but contained items worth much more, and ppl seemed pleased with it.
Haven't used much suncream meself, only the facial one, which i've not had any problems with. Hope you had a good hol otherwise!
Thanks for explaining the N7 and Revlon offers. Trust me to be away when there's a good voucher in the metro. Although, it's not such a good offer if you can't find the item that's supposed to be free. Have you tried looking in the Notting Hill store?0 -
Whe I was chatting to the nice SA in Boots the other day asking if they were gonna get some moreGWP, he said that the Horizon programme was most likely commisioned by Boots..So maybe not that good .0
