Bride and Groom staying at my hotel - ideas for nice gestures?

Options
Hey!

So, it's not actually a hotel but a holiday apartment and we've not had any wedding groups before (well, certainly not a bride and groom anyway)... We haven't been doing this long!

So...any ideas on what would be a nice gesture for the happy couple?

They arrive a few days before the big day so was thinking of sorting something while they were out? Can only think of flowers and champagne though. Any other nice ideas?

Maybe doing anything is a bad idea as they have a big group arriving with them and maybe they'll be arranging their own thing.

Just to point out, we're not a massive corporate hotel or anything - it's very small and we've been in regular contact with the guest so a friendly relationship is already established so don't think it would be totally inappropriate (opinions welcome though!).

Definitely not doing rose petals or anything similar as I don't think anything that personal would be appropriate.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

I think the rose petals sounds great, champagne bucket and maybe some strawberrys for that extra touch :)

Ok...I thought it might be a little weird doing the rose petals - thought that was something that family and friends usually arranged. But can definitely do that!

    Thanks!
  • A (wrapped!) chocolate on each pillow is an inexpensive and thoughtful gesture.

  • I think a bottle of bubbly (could be cava or prosecco) and a little card wishing them luck would be nice. I'd really appreciate that.
Not sure I'd want rose petals.....

We stayed at a hotel for our silver wedding anniversary, and they put cards, a bottle of wine and a bunch of balloons in the room for us. It doesn't really matter what it is, its the fact that someone has gone out of thier way to do something nice.

On our honeymoon a few hotels had flowers in the room on arrival (with a card to say congratulations from them) and we were delivered a bottle of bubbly with 2 glasses just after we checked in :)

It was so nice of them to think of us :)

On my wedding day I didn't really get much chance to eat, and I woke up at about 6 am the morning after the wedding absolutely ravenous. Breakfast didn't start til 8 am, I was climbing the walls!

Maybe some muffins or nice cookies would be a nice touch.
