My gas and electricity supplier has tried twice to take out the direct debit but it's not worked. It's the 2nd payment to them but the first since I switched to FD. It seems there's a wrong digit on the reference but FD are telling me one thing and the supplier another so I've been stuck in the middle waiting for the payment to go out. The old me would have thought, ooh there's money available, I'm gonna spend it. But oh no, the new YNAB loving me knows that money is allocated! Anyway, I'm going to pay over the phone so at least I'll be up to date with that bill. I'll contact them both again tomorrow and see if they can liaise with each other to sort it out!
I'm not sure I should say this out loud, but I think I may have cracked YNAB. I struggled last month when I had direct debits going out in the last few days of the month, after my payday. I was over budget in that month but had money to budget for this month. Totally confused! When I allocated money for October, even though some money will come in on the 26th to see me through, I allocated money for all my direct debits to try and make a move to living on the last months income. I guess I could split my income but I'm going to try this way first and see if it works. I seem to be ok budget wise, everything is allocated and I have money for food and bits in my rainy day funds. Roll on payday.......I want to see if this works! 15 days to go! :T:DDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

Haha MmSam, bit of a clothes habit too? :T:rotfl: Ah thank you, I'm sure there's more I could do but I'm happy so far with my debt busting. Obviously I'd like it cleared by Friday but that's not going to happen! Maybe if I say it won't happen, I'll win the lottery or something!
Wow, £900. That's amazing. And you must have really lovely clothes or lots of them!It is amazing how it all adds up. Just a bit of effort and suddenly there's a few quid to put towards debt.
Ah thank you so much for popping in. I'll have a search to see if you've got a diaryDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

I've had a day off today and as usual, it's been lovely. Back to the s**t tomorrow
Monday
* £23.65 on a few bits of food and receipt scanned on checkoutsm@rt
* £30 on fuel. I've still got £35 left in my fuel account and I'm only working half a week next week so hoping I can manage! Probably just jinxed myself! :rotfl:
* £58.50 on a cardigan and bras! Oh dear! But I can totally justify them. Honest! I've probably mentioned it a million times but I've lost a lot of weight and most of my bras are far too big so they need replacing. I've bought 2 which will keep me going for a bit! And the cardigan, well I really really love it. I've got the same one selling on eb@y as it's too big but amazingly they still stock it so I bought it all on account and will pay it off come payday!

* £37.06 withdrawn from payp@l from the last lot of eb@y sales :T
* They all add up to £60.37 which I'll pay to Barclayc@rd when they hit my account :T:j
I've got 3 items finishing on eb@y tomorrow night and 18 on Sunday and so far I've got 51 watchers and 3 bids. Fingers crossed!
I know credit scores are a bit worthless but I was encouraged to see my noddle score go from a 2/5 to a 3/5 last month but this month it's gone back to 2/5!! So I signed up for a trial with Equif@x (which I'll cancel in 3 weeks) but they have me down as "excellent". Crazy! I'll leave it another a couple of weeks then apply for a new CC and transfer my Barcl@ycard balance as my 0% interest rate is about to end. :money:
I've woken up blimming freezing the last few days so I need to get the radiators done asap. Since I lost weight (I might have mentioned it before) I've definitely felt the cold more. My current radiators are awful, I've tried bleeding them but they're all bunged up and hardly give out any heat. I'm hoping to just whack it on the credit card and get it paid off asap. If I drain all my rainy day accounts though I could afford it but then I'll be in a pickle when I need to pay for Christmas or line rental or whatever! Aaargh. At least it's not a frivolous spend I suppose

Another successful Day - and it seems you have managed to fit in some M&S puds too!
Re credit score, there was a time when mine was all over the place too... It will settle slowly. I find that when my debt goes up it changes. Such as when I've run up a biggish bill on my everyday CC. Also, I'm sure you know that Noddle is a little bit behind?

Haha always room for some delicious puds! :rotfl::D
Oh I didn't know that about noddle. Equif@x seems a bit more reliable but not enough to pay the monthly fee to keep it.I just wanted to check it before I apply for my new balance transfer CC early next month. I'm sure it will all settle down, thanks Catriona.
I emailed he company about the radiators to see if I could get it cheaper towel rail so bring the price down a bit, and to see if I can pay on my credit card but they haven't got back to me yet. If I can't pay on my card, then it'll have to wait until next year. My pay for the next 2 months will be £300 down because of the car so that's blimming annoying. Nevermind! Very nearly the weekend :T:j:T:j:T:j:D

* 2 VO surveys

The £37.06 I withdrew from payp@l landed in my account and I tried to pay it to Barclayc@rd but as it's a bit less than the minimum payment which is due soon, it would mess it all up. I've renamed one of my little savings account to "overpayments" and put it in there for now and once my DD for Barclayc@rd has gone out, I'll move it across then. I've also discovered that I can no longer transfer less than a pound between my Nati0nwide current account and my Nati0nwide savings account. But I will not be beaten, oh no! I transferred £1 from my savings account to my current account then transferred it back, along with a 94p sweep. Ha! :rotfl:Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500
