Just read in the paper that Marks has had a Friend & Family offer on since Thursday and ending today. 30% discount. Anyone know about it or have the code?

Wow that would be good, any employees want to be my friend? :D
  • Its just instore, using vouchers which an employee gives you by hand and you must be a friend or relative to the employee. Its 20% for friends and family and 30% for employees

Things are so bad they're bribing their staff with discounts in order to keep up heir sales figures?
  • actually we got vouchers for 20% to give to 'family and friends' and we got an additional 10% ourselves (which would be in addition to our usual 20%)

M&S introduces a "pyramid" scheme :rotfl:

This will be so they can announce "like for like sales" are up (or at least similar) compared to last quarter/last year/etc. There will be some kind of accounting principle which allows them to disregard the discount in the sales figure announcements but it will all be obvious when they have to declare final profits. They'll just be hoping for things to improve by then so the final figures won't look so bad.

M&S prices increasingly look like they just "think of a figure, double it" etc. A linen jacket originally priced £99, finally sold at £9 in the most recent sale. Isn't it about time they used realistic prices in the first place and maybe shifted more stock that way? Say maybe £79 or £69 instead of £99 for the jacket.
  • Does anyone have a current discount code please?
  • I am thinking of buying a dining table from M&S, which I'd like for Christmas. Do you think there will be any offers between now and then or shall I wait for the new year sale?
  • Any new codes around please?
