Letting my home - mortgage process? (Nationwide)

Hi,

I've previously asked if people thought there would be an issue with letting my property/mortgage and it seems getting permission is generally ok with a little bump on interest rate.

I want to ask about the process I should work this:

I have a large overpayment I need to take back to be able to deposit on the next house.

Should I:

1. Contact mortgage department, request overpayment back - Will they ask me why I want it back? Should I tell them we intend to buy another house?

2. Then ask for permission to let out property?

3. Enquire on the level of mortgage we (myself and partner) can obtain if it is let out?

Or should we do them in a different order?

Suggest you run the entire proposal past them. As you could trip up on any of these points if treated as individual steps.
