Title Deeds

I was just wondering if people actually get a copy of their title deeds for confirmation after purchasing a home?
I have only seen the deeds when I purchased my house when it was still in the name of the previous owner. I have never seen the updated version after the purchase went through.
Theoretically is it actually possible for the solicitor to mess it up so that the deeds are incorrect - e.g. wrong name or incorrect spelling.. etc...? Or are there safeguards that exist in the process to prevent this happening?

If you want to check to the property is correctly registered in your name, contact Land Registry who will assist.#
If there are any issues noted, they will advise on the process to rectify any errors.

Hope this helps

As GMS states you would normally get a copy from your solicitor/conveyancer once everything has been completed. Whether that always happens though may depend on individual firms etc as some may simply write to confirm everything has been registered etc.
holly hobby and bryanb are also quite corrcet and if you want to check online re the details as registered then you can via the link - if any details are wrong then simply Contact Us and we can investigate further and advise.“Official Company Representative
