Going through these dry patches certainly is depressing, especially considering how much effort and time we all put in :(

Fingers crossed for all of you that are (like me) waiting for a win.

Ha ha it's very depressing! Had lots of lovely things over the years but this year nothing! Not a single thing! My luck has to change soon! COME ON!!!
  • It is annoying when you go through a dry spell and feel like giving up. The only advice I would give would be to enter EVERYTHING, and to do all of the mag dailies - which is time consuming as you need to enter them every day while they run, to get the best chance of a win. But ive been seriously pounding the dailies since January, and so far i've won a 42" TV, Sky for a year, and a £50 shoe voucher! If you can spare an hour a day to dedicate only on the magazines then I would recommend it.

You put in a lot of effort and it's nice to see its paying off. I think people just go through spells. I just enter comps and forget about them - then it's a huge surprise if I win. I think it's best going into every comp not expecting to win,

I like hearing about others winning though - it keeps me motivated. We all have the same chance of winning and you got to be in it to win it :)

I just started comping at the beginning of March.. so only a month and haven't won anything. Thinking maybe I'm not cut out for comping as I expect to win every comp I enter haha!

How long do you guys normally have to wait between wins? And how many comps do you enter each day?

    Hi Laura

Welcome to MSE :) I hope you are enjoying the site its a great place to be and there are some wonderfull people on here. I love it its a great way to chat and find info on lots of topics, bargains, competitions etc and its great if you can participate in ways you feel you can help too.

Dont give up comping its early days for you yet. The wins take a while to come through as they can be quite slow to contact you after a closing date. I personally enter every competition on the board each day that I would like to win so I am not sure how many that is I would say btwn 150-200 per day. I never seem to manage to get round to doing the dailies as just keeping up with the normal ones takes up hours each day as it is.
Keep at it and do as many as you can/have time for but be carefull it can take over your life a bit

I started comping a few years back here and there nothing regular tbh and won some really good prizes back then and I didnt enter that many then.

Keep at it and I am sure you hard work will pay off. I hope to see you on the post a picture of your win board soon.

    Good Luck

Cant believe the person who thinks that people who don't win are inherently unlucky and should therefore give up and leave it to the luckier people! LOL

Ive not won a single thing in 8 months, but I never enter FB or TW comps because I know Ill forget to check their pages. Im a bit clueless about it really. I do 100 - 150 a day though, not half as many as some, but after 8 months I was expecting something by now. Especially reading about bugs bunny and her 50ish wins this year!! Jealous much!?
