hi guys,
ive heard mentioned on this forum about pre paid credit cards, i have ordered one from cashplus to help manage my debts and as my bank account is going to go under shortly, to get my wages paid into it.
i was wondering if anyonbe else here has a cashplus mastercard and if they charge you every month for both mine and my partners card(ordered a second card) or will it be on one account??
i havent stated using it yet or even activated it, will they make a monthly charge yet?? or dooes it start when i use it.

Hi, I have one of these cards. Which plan did you go. Was it the 4.95 a month or a charge per transaction. I am on the monthly one. They do charge you each month if you use it or not. But even 4.95 is still way way cheaper than the late payment charges or over limit charges. I love mine. It has been a godsend. At least when i do spend money its all mine and not borrowed. I tend to top it up with the same amount as i was paying in fees to normal credit card. A bit like a savings account now if you like. I am not altogether sure if both cards will be charged but i would imagine they will be. Pop onto there website. It should tell you there. Good luck.

i mean this in the nicest possible way but if you want to gain control of your finances you really ought to be asking these question before you sign up especially if you are having your salary paid into the card.

The costs of running it depend very much how you use it, but for example it costs £2 to withdraw cash from an ATM. If you are used to withdrawing say £10-20 at a time this will be a very expensive card.
