    Nelski,
Originally all gadgets were purchased for quickness, variety and saving energy and in case as income drops I could not afford them in the future...the microwave and slow cooker are used the most. They can do most meals and they use the least energy.

Including vegetables, rice, stews, fish and some meats like chicken etc...and you can even steam items.

Hot meals are important but I do eat cold meals too like salads and sandwiches.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on...I do think when living alone it takes a little more motivation and effort.

Just make sure that when you use it on the convection setting or for jacket potatoes on the combi setting that you put the metal tray in on top of the turntable or the glass plate will crack!

I always remove any plastic and the glass plate when I use the oven function on mine. The glass plate doesn't fit without the plastic so it comes out too.

I just leave them in, put the metal tray on the glass turntable and low grill on top.
