Does anyone know if State pension contributions made in the Republic of Ireland and Canada can be transferred to boost UK 'Qualifying Years' for UK State Pension?

The Canadian website given above relates to occupational pensions if you worked for Canadian government organisations, rather than the 'state pension' equivalent which is at http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/isp/ibfa/intlben.shtml
Residents of the UK are able to use periods of residence in Canada as if they were periods of contribution within the UK.0
