iPod Shuffle £23.97 with free DVD rentals trial!

paultoon

This looks like a good deal from Sofa Cinema, the Guardian newspaper's online DVD rental service, run by LOVEFiLM:

"Join Sofa Cinema and get a free iPod Shuffle.
Sign up now and you can enjoy 30 days of free rentals.
There's no obligation to stay after that.
But if you do decide to stick with us and make three monthly payments we'll send you an iPod Shuffle - worth £50 in the shops - absolutely free.
Take advantage of this offer now by registering at http://www.guardian.co.uk/sofacinemashuffle and entering the code GUPOD.
The offer ends June 12 2007."

Sofa Cinema's cheapest monthly package is "Lite 4" at £7.99 for 4 rentals per month. After your free month's trial, you need to make three monthly payments, so you're paying £23.97 in total.

So you get 4 months of rentals, that's 16 DVDs, plus an iPod Shuffle for £23.97!

(One note about the small print - it says anyone who has already held an account with any LOVEFiLM service is ineligible for this offer.)

Or just buy a refurb iPod shuffle for Apple for the same price (albeit the old style 512mb version).

Jakejakejake
