in Cutting tax
Hello
I came to the UK in Jan 2013. This is my first time here. I started working self employed on 25th Jan 2013.
Yesterday I have just got my national insurance number and now I am ready to register for self assessment.
I have earned approx £2200 so far (by 5th april maybe £2700).
Few questions..
Will I get personal allowance for 2012-2013 or do I owe 20% tax on all earnings so far?
I intend to stay in UK (my plans are not fixed at the moment), so from HRMC website I'm classing myself as resident, however should I decide to leave midway through 2013-2014 tax year would I lose all my personal allowance and be taxed on all income?
Thank you for any advise.
