It will be interesting to see how much it comes back on the market for after it has been made lovely by developers. The one next door was up for sale as well, I think another deceased elderly person. It was still 2 bed though and didn't need quite so much done.
The rooms weren't as big as they sound on paper as a lot were funny shaped. The 'proper' 4 bed houses in the area are another £100k on top of that price.
Anyway, keep saving the pennies...Jan 2013-£140,231.65

I think so, we would just want to move in a few years I think as they will be packed in like sardines. For the money for the size we would want we could get something with more garden in a more rural bit of town.
They would be easy to live in though in the short term.Jan 2013-£140,231.65

Is yours on zoopla too? I noticed on there you can see how many people have looked at the details on line.
Hi yeah it's on zoopla, there are plenty people viewing the details, but no interest as yet.
I just think it's a hard house to sell which is why the part exchange may be a good idea for usStart Date 16/09/2015

Wow!
There aren't that many houses (maybe 50) in an old football ground but they do seem over priced for what you get. I predict that in the year or 2 after they are built a lot will go up for sale again with not much change upwards in price even if the market rises. They are right beside town though (and only a few minutes walk from our house) so at least they have shops and amenities on hand.Jan 2013-£140,231.65

Busy and spendy few days but will be worth it.
I have-
-ordered 3 lovely new doors- to be fitted mid September (need 2 more after that)
-bought wallpaper for bathroom
-ordered stair carpet
-got decorator coming next week to do hall/stairs/landing/bathroom
I have also made a shiny new spreadsheet to track the home improvement costs.
As a bit of a bargain I yesterday got some primani canvas pictures for each of the 2 bigger girls rooms. I ended up with 2 big ones and 6 little ones for the bargain price of £6 in total. I just need some fluffy rugs now too.
The new masterplan is do the home improvements and pay off a lot of mortgage over the next year or so so we can then look to move to our forever home then. It might be a big jump up in mortgage and we want as good a deposit as we can by hammering down the current mortgage.Jan 2013-£140,231.65

Whilst doing some [STRIKE]noseying[/STRIKE] researching on rightmove I have found a fantastic house. It started at £350k mid June and has just been dropped to £320k. Further investigations show that it was up for rent on rightmove for 2 years from june 11-june 13. It is period, lovely, lovely street.
I think we will try and arrange a viewing Friday if we can. It is vacant possession so good chain wise. We probably stand no chance since we are not on the market. It is making me a bit sad thinking about it:(
We are mid house tart- decorator coming tomorrow, carpets soon after, doors mid sept. It just seems like a big step to go up for sale though as I do love this house, it just isn't our forever house. I would only want to move to one that is completely right. I am worried that if we don't get that one (and we probably won't) if we sell this I don't want to rush into buying something that isn't completely right but will feel pressurised to find something quickly.
woe is me;)Jan 2013-£140,231.65
