Fri 22nd March - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning peeps!
We're ready really early so posting from home! Shocking!!!
Well done DNMS on your job/payrise, persistance pays off in the end
This is me:
- Check banking
- Await email to see if w have a mortgage offer
- B/snacks from stores
- Lunch will be a treat!
- Await phone call from dad to find out if we're likely to get snowed in if we go up this weekend. DB2 can't risk it due to work commitments
- Prob drive to DB2's tonight with nephew anyway and stay over
- Hopefully dinner at DB2's
- 1 load HC in machine on Eco 7 (I said I was ready early!!! LOL)
- Quick shower rather than bath
- Work EXTREMELY hard today and earn lots of money
- Charge mobile from work computer
- DM picking DD up from school
- Empty rubbish out of my car to save the cost of a valet!
Not a lot else as I'm not sure what I'm up to this weekend/evening now!

Morning wow am feeling a *little* delicate today we celebrated my job job status with some bubbly & now I'm wishing we waited until today! Hurrah to having a new job and a very nice payrise I cannot wait to hand my notice in
However - DFW things for the day:
* payday, so will need to review accounts & allocate funding (Very annoyingly my internet banking has locked me out so am waiting for codes)
* all meals from stores - get fake away out of the freezer
* make good use of free coffee & tea at work
* check onepoll
* do a load of washing & hang up
* going to feed & walk friend's dogs after work as she is away until later this evening
Not much I'm afraid! Maybe there'll be more as the fog clears....

congratulations to DNMS! it's such a lovely feeling to hand your notice in somewhere you're not happy!
well I had an epic fail last night and went to the 'do'. Only cost me £10 and then was all in with drinks (incl c*cktails) and canapes (which were amazing) but stayed out until late and don't feel the best today and have a lot to do
got to pay my builder £410 today for some work he's done but that was already budgeted for and money put away (and I'd actually put away £500 for it so that's quite good)
Getting take out tonight, milk and sparkling water but having a quiet night in watching the stuff off sky box I should have watched last night!
Have a good day everyone and it's friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I want to be a writer0 -
DNMS!!! A new job?! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :j:beer::j
Well, last day at work for me!! Hurrah! Hoping not to see lunch time at work :rotfl:
Today I'm hoping to do not a lot haha! Need to keep ploughing forward with gutting and cleaning the house.
Dinner from stores, day THREE (!!) of sticking to the meal plan :T
Need to write next weeks meal plan, write a list for the butchers and get to them tomorrow morning.
Do swagbucks (earned 39sb for searching 'last day at work' haha!), onepoll, check competitions board and freebies.
Need to finish shaving the dogs and get them showered.
Hoping to see my MIL tonight, might get my Learn to crochet book out that DH got me for christmas. Hoping my MIL will help me learn
Have a good day y'all! Sending lots of hugs to those who need it, kicks up the bum to anyone who needs one, and sending lots of 'good luck' dust to anyone who is wanting something good :TCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
