I notice Maryin is tweeting the VOA website is down due to a mention on the show. As a regular user of the VOA site this is not that unusual, it is terrible for timing out.

First off - I'm a massive fan of Martin and all he does. :money:
I know this programme was there to educate us in a 'fun' and 'accessible' way, but really! There were so many broadcasting cliches and cheesy moments (not the crisps) that I almost switched off due to cheddar overload. I say almost, because the guy talks sense and it pays to listen :D

If the presenters would stop bouncing about so much, grinning inanely, and attempting to interact in a way which doesn't look scripted but is, then this could be a useful programme.

I'd also add (as a non-smoker) that the skeleton/zombie cigarette thing is not going to get you much love from people who enjoy the occasional ciggy (bet you knew that was coming!)

Overall, a good start, but calm down a bit.

I have just been watching Martin's latest show about car insurance. He said that when using comparision sites you can open several windows and input the data at the same time. Can someone explain what he meant by this please?

Same old stuff, will not be watching again!
  • Its very entertaining. Much better than watching some mind-numbing reality or game show. I always usually learning something.

Not sure this weeks advice of turning off taps whilst brushing teeth or limiting myself to a 4 minute shower is gonna save very much.!

I've heard of dumbing down but between the pair of them they seem to have aimed at a target audience with a negative IQ.
