Best place to sell a piece of fine jewellery? (ie not scrap)

Hi there everyone,
This is my first post so please be gentle.
I've recently had a piece of jewellery valued at £2,600 and wish to sell it. Now I know that I won't get close to that, but I'd still like to get the best price I can. I've looked on eBay but that doesn't seem like a good bet as the completed listings are mostly full of unsold items.
It's a three stone ring, emerald with diamond shoulders set in yellow gold if that makes a difference at all.
Many thanks for any suggestions / ideas / hints or tips received.

I'd just go to a jewller, just be aware that they have costs and overheads. You know how much its worth, just remeber that an old rule of buying and selling is that you should try and double your money when buying something to sell on.
Give them a call before you go so they know what to expect and you end up dealing with they right person for buying,
Whatever price they give you, you have the right to haggle.
Failing that you could try the likes of ebay, gumtree but you'd have to wait for the right buyer and that could take timeBedroom Tax / Spare room subsidy / Housing Benefit Reduction - It's the same thing, get over it.0 -
Thanks 306chris. I think this is probably my best bet too. Time to make a few calls to local jewellers and see what they say.0
