We bought our house for £167k as it needed some work done to it and should have been about £180k ish. I'm just doing a comparison site at the moment and it asks property Value. Do we put what we paid or what it's actually worth now?
Thanks

The value of the house now.
Be sensible though and compare to other similar houses around you that have recently sold as the lender won't just accept whatever you say. They'll have a valuation done. It may just be a desktop one where the check sold house prices so it's wise to not go overboard with your valuation.0 -
If you bought the house 6 months ago and spent £10/15K on a new kitcehn/bathroom please do not expect it to now be worth £180K.
The surveyor that any lender might send out will look at recent sales !!!
Now if the last sale was your home for £167K
That is what he will value it at0
