The OP hasn't said how much money they took, just that they emptied her account.

    The PayDay UK terms say
Subject to our agreement and your circumstances, you may be eligible to renew your loan. As PaydayUK is a responsible lender we will only allow you to renew your loan a maximum of three consecutive times. The renewal process works by paying the interest only. We will then extend your loan, plus interest, to your following payday. This ensures that the balance of your loan does not increase unlike some short-term loan providers.

So it is possible that they have extended the loan and just taken the original interest - in line with their terms.
  • Most of sites offering payday loans are not the direct lenders. They just provide the matching service, meaning that they just match potential borrowers with the lenders. It is not illegal, as far as I know, thus, you are better to check the site before applying. Such sites are obliged to have a so-called disclaimer in the footer. I hope this will help you to be more careful when applying for pay day loans online next time.

Or better yet, here's an even better way to be careful when applying for pay day loans:

    DON'T APPLY FOR PAYDAY LOANS.

I really couldn't have put it better myself.
  • Hi,

Your not the first person this has happened too and won't be the last, it's only a matter of time before lenders like paydayuk get clamped down on with new legislation's that keep getting stricter.... i hope.
