Charging Order

How do I find out if there are any charging orders or debts secured on my property?

    er ? doesn't it say? I'd be tempted to phone the Land Registry and ask.

    There should be no need to call us as all the information we will hold re the charge should appear on the register.

    If it is a registered charge then the next entry will refer to it's Proprietor - they 'own' the charge and the name will be followed by their address. The date of the charge and the date when it was registered should also be shown.

    If it is an Agreed/Unilateral Notice then the next entry will refer to the Beneficiary - they 'own' it and an address will again be provided

    If you then want to find out how much is owed etc then you would need to contact the 'owner' as Land Registry would not hold such information.

    If you do decide that you need to speak to someone at Land Registry then use the Contact Us details from our website
