Bread mix

Hi I have been clearing out my cupboards and found a hovis bread mix with a best before sept 2012 does anyone please know if this is still ok to use or would it not work?

    I've used out of date bread mixes and they do generally work but, in my experience, take hours and hours to rise. You can but try :).

    As far as I'm aware as long as it doesn't have weevils in it, it should be fine. There's a there's a thread about it here. :)

    Use it! The worse that will happen is that it won't rise very much because the yeast is past its best. Or use it to make something that doesn't need to rise much like pizza base.
