Bankruptcy not on credit report

I went bankrupt in oct 2012 but checking my credit file I have not got a bankruptcy showing under public records.
All the accounts that I included in my bankruptcy are gone off my account too.
My score is showing as 999 an excellent score.
What do I do or shall I leave it to correct itself?

The BR should show. So should the accounts if reported to that CRA and defaulted less than 6 years ago.

    So something is wrong.

The agencies will have a record of your BR. They get send details of all of them automatically. The question really is, why is that not being matched against your report?

May be that you are not giving enough previous addresses when requesting your report? Or the ones you are giving do not EXACTLY match the one on the BR order or associated with the missing accounts?

As tempting as it might be to just leave it, if you think anything like late defaulted or unsettled accounts may have been applied, then it would be better to see them so you can take action to correct if needed.

Point being that a credit report is not a static thing like a paper file. It is a dynamic thing generated on the fly each time, based on the info submitted when you apply for it. So a creditor checking against you who provides slightly different info, may see the missing BR and accounts while you do not. Or if you request your reports again, you may find yourself that everything appears. e.g. leave it now wrongly hoping that it is all gone, and it may come back to bite you on the backside later.

Just checked my addresses and it did not show my address which I have been living in for the past year dispite me changing that over when I moved in. Updated this now so fingers crossed this should all rectify itself. I want no Skeletons in the closet when I come to possible apply for a mortgage again in the future and want an easier job of post bankruptcy credit file clean up.

They should say defaulted with a default date on or before your BR date. Once discharged, they should have a settled/satisfied or partial settlement marker added to that.

Not much point trying to get anything correct before your discharge, as you can only sort incorrect default dates until that point, so only half a job or less.

Once discharged you can sort it all in one go.

Capital One shows default on the date of my bankruptcy, Shop Direct shows default as 2 months after my bankruptcy, a few other of my accounts show as satisfactory but still have a balance on them but have dates of a week or two after my bankruptcy.
