Has anyone invested with direct trader? We've been promised a guaranteed return of £25k in 12 months for a £2k investment...... but can't seem to find too much about the company itself or whether its just too good to be true.

LOL LOL LOL (3 times, because LOL is too short)0

I'm struggling to believe that that is a serious question.0

Can someone seriously be so naive to even consider that someone offering a 12x return in a year is legitimate.
The only guarantee here is that I can guarantee that you won't see a penny of your "investment" back.
Did this offer come in the form of a spam email by any chance?0 -
You can not find people to believe it as most of traders loss their money.0

If you think it's too good to be true, than it mostly is.0

That is total BS and if you think anyone can offer you a 1200% return in a year when we're in the biggest economic downturn in 60 years then, you're sadly mistaken.
Just before the credit crunch I got involved with an advisory company who do CFD's, they were very professional and their literature and website was spot on. They had won awards with the Shares magazines for their services to the business. I granted them attorney of my trading account £5k and they managed to lose over £1k in 5 weeks due to their wider stop losses, so I pulled the plug on them.

Stay way away. I have put some more detail on just how shady they are in this post.
I have sent the details on to the FSA to see if they want to do something about it. If you want to do the same, the email is consumer.queries@fsa.gov.uk.0
