Thanks for this - just got 18 doses (2 rounds for our 9 cats). £2.79/dose is a really good price - we've been paying £5/dose from Costco."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I'm another one who has switched to Advantage. Available mail order from any reputable pet store and also I think now in Pets at Home. No prescription necessary. Would not buy from a vet they are such a rip off.
Frontline not working on my lot, I wasted a lot of money before realising this. Although I do still use the spray (avail from vet only) when I have (rescue) kittens. It def gets some of them off as I found lots dead on the floor (they had a bad infestation) but then as they got a bit older I treated with advantage.]
Don't forget you can get cashback on most sites.:DLess stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Be careful when using 'Advocate'. It was recommended by my vet and I used it on my young golden retriever. He had a really bad reaction to it, so I checked it out on a couple of doggie blog sites and found I was not the only one. I told my vet and she reported it back to the manufactures, Bayer I think, but they made no response.
I now use Bob Martin's 'FleaClear' which kills both fleas and ticks and works fine.0 -
Beeston Animal Health - www.wormers.co.uk sell Eliminall, which is made by Pfizer and contains the same ingredient, fipronil, as Frontline and is cheaper.0

Frontline doesn't work on my cats either0

Yes our cats seemed to grow resistant. Use Advocate now, and don't you have to have a sign-off from the vet who then may not be pleased you are shopping elsewhere?0

First time I was made aware of frontline resistance was when my indoor(!) cats somehow picked up fleas back in 2005. The Vet was completely bemused that Frontline wasn't working until she spoke to a colleague who had seen a couple of cases of resistance. So this problem has been around for quite a while; I don't think anyone will be able to use Frontline for much longer0

Only 2 hours ago I ordered some medium dog Frontline from Beeston Animal Health and, thankfully, they are cheaper than Co-op. :T
OOPS sorry I have just noticed I ordered for a small dog so not comparing like with like :-(0
