Dear All,
Hope everyone is ok!!!.
We are close to completion on our house sale after 8 months of trying to sell, we have sold twice but buyers have messed. Quite honestly, this whole process has got us down, well anyway!!!!. Our mortgage offer was in place back in October together with new life cover quotes & Buildings & Contents quotes etc.
At that time I thought we would be moved before xmas 2006, but here we are May 2007 and hopefully now moving!. My main concern is whether the mortgage product chosen is still competitive.
Our new mortgage has 2 parts to it the first is on a rate of 5.64% for 48 months then the mortgage reverts to 5.49% for 252 months ie 25 years altogether. My concerns like probably so many of us is the seemingly increasing interest rates.I have been with Nationwide for some time and feel quite comfortable with them. Should I switch to fixed rate product for the time being, at least knowing the what I will be paying.
Your help would be welcomed, many thanks

Because of its composition the Nationwide products will always be 'competitive'.
Are those rates you mentioned 'current' rates?
