I've got a package from Amazon out for delivery with Hermes. They left a card saying they are coming tomorrow but not what time, no phone number or even a reference.
Does anyone know what happens if delivery fails again??

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Are you expecting delivery to fail again? Maybe because you know you'll be out? If you're out every day what was your original plan for delivery when you ordered from Amazon?
Maybe leave a note stuck on the door telling the courier which neighbour to leave it with, or where they could leave it (like shed, garage, blue box) if it doesn't need signed for.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Do you have tracking through the Amazon website?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

You have a right to cancel internet orders. Think it is 7 days. I would email them and let them know that under distance selling regs you are cancelling the order. Think 7 days starts from the day you receive items. By refusing delivery you shouldn't have a problem but I would fire off email just to cover yourself. Even if goods are inadvertendly delivered you are still able to return them.I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0

Hermes should be outlawed. I can see today from returning from a short Easter break that they are what used to be called a totally "fly by night" outfit. They tried to deliver on Thursday. I wasn't here. It was Easter weekend. Amazon's system showed they attempted to deliver and would try again Friday (on a public holiday????) but gave no option for any contact to re-arrange. I see now that Thursday's card also said first attempt, and would try again 29/03. There was no card left on Friday. Then a card left on Saturday saying "This is my last delivery attempt" and no further information.
Their cards contain no telephone number, no website (except one for anyone who fancies being a 'courier'), no address, no nothing except the undisciplined scrawlings you would expect when they employ anyone off the street who says they have a car or a van and a storage space and a phone (and is prepared to work for a pittance) - pay peanuts get monkeys. Storage for what, by the way?
When the hell will someone start sorting this country out, please?
Has no business got proper standards anymore and who authorised these jokers to be trusted with mail ?0 -
Yes, I agree their calling cards are AWFUL and the Amazon tracking for my item says they tried to deliver at times I know someone was in! Anyway, I finally got my package on GOOD FRIDAY - they must have tried 5 or 6 times to deliver it (or so they say). There was a note on the door saying take next door but they never did. I had marked mobile phone tracking on my account but nowt. DPD (I think that's the name) are much better, they send you text alerts etc.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!

Try contacting both Amazon and the seller0
