New Job - Credit Check Required

I have just accepted a new job which is conditional on employers references and as it is in the financial sector, I have to get a credit check done. This is also due to the fact that I am required to open a current account with that company.

I currently have £10,000 from 3 credit cards stoozed into my bank account. Although this is in my savings account it will show up on my credit file as debt. I also have a Current account of my own which is now dormant and a joint account with my wife. I have never had any problems with credit and the last application I made was back in October last year.

I am just looking for some reassurance that none of this will affect my credit rating and of course the job offer. Thanks:beer:

No, it shouldn't do - they will probably just look for financial stability and no signs of adverse credit history.

They are checking that you are not of 'financial disrepute'

So they don't care about serviced debt.
