    Claire I'm so sorry, I've only just seen your question.

    My son said it felt like a very sharp snap from an elastic band and it was just a very quick zap from the laser. It didn't really make it much worse looking and was rather like a scabby spot for about 7 to 10 days. I don't really remember him having to stay out of the sun, but he would always use a high factor suncream anyway.
